Manchester Diving Group Activities
Scuba Diving
At Manchester Diving Group our members dive throughout the year up and down the UK and beyond – we have official club organised trips open to all members and also members who organise their own, smaller trips.

Learn to Dive
With Manchester Diving Group you can achieve IANTD certification. We have many skilled and dedicated members who are happy to assist, offer advice and help you out.

Dive Trips
We take multiple trips around the UK every year – weekends, long weekends and entire weeks – and they’re organised by members for members. Our Social Secretary generally organises trips but if a member want to plan one they’re more than welcome as that means more fun.
A lot of our recent trips have been to Scotland and have included The Isle of Skye, St Abbs and The Shetlands, the cost vary based on location and are first come first served.

Octopush
We have regular underwater hockey, or octopush, every Monday evening between 8 and 9m, at Hough End Leisure Centre.
If you’d like to play or just find out more drop us a message.

Try Dives
We offer regular try sessions at Hough End Leisure Centre every Friday between 8pm and 9pm. If you want to see what the fuss the is about, rekindle your experience in diving, refresh your skills or want to get a bit of practice in before you go on holiday, we can help you.
All equipment is provided and each session is an hour long one on one activity with one of qualified and experienced members.

Member only pool sessions
We offer sessions at Hough End Leisure Centre every Friday evening between 8pm and 9pm for members who can swim, practice their diving, test new equipment or just chat.

Lectures
On the first Monday of every month we offer lectures presented by our members about diving and diving related activities. Recent lectures include knot tying, wildlife rescue and how to choose a dry suit.
Members frequently bring food to share at these events with homemade cakes and curries being popular choices.
